Fans gathered to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Tyler, The Creator’s, Camp Flog Gnaw at Dodgers Stadium on November 16th and 17th.

With tickets selling out the day they dropped, Tyler, The Creator, waited to drop the 10 year anniversary lineup in a crossword puzzle that fans had to figure out. With big acts like Tyler himself, Playboi Carti, Blood Orange, Erykah Badu, and many more, fans were eager to get in the gates of the festival.

This year’s Camp Flog Gnaw not only brought together a stellar lineup but also showcased Tyler, the Creator’s ever-growing influence on the world of music, art, and culture. Featuring an array of R&B, hip-hop, shoegaze and more, the 10 year anniversary of the festival proved once more that Tyler’s ability to curate diverse and unforgettable experiences is like no other.

Early on in the afternoon, Doechii’s set was truly special. The rising star delivered a performance that solidified her place as one of the most exciting acts of day 1. With tracks like “What It Is (Block Boy)” and “Stunnin,” Doechii brought the energy and magnetic confidence to the stage. During her performance of “Persuasive,” screams could be heard from the crowd as she brought out SZA to sing her featuring part with her. There’s no doubt that Doechii will be a household name in no time.

If there was one set at Camp Flog Gnaw that could be described as pure joy, it was Kaytranada’s. Kaytranada delivered a DJ set that had everyone dancing from start to finish. His tracks “10%” and “You Can Dance” got the crowd grooving as Kaytranada blended house, hip-hop, and funk, to create a night of dancing. Kaytranada has an uncanny ability to read the room and create a vibe that made his performance one of the best sets of the weekend.

Tyler, the Creator’s headlining performance was visually stunning. Opening with an electrifying rendition of the first four songs of Chromakopia, Tyler’s set was a rollercoaster of emotions. From the emotionally charged “EARFQUAKE” to “NEW MAGIC WAND”, Tyler showed that he has turned from a musical artist to a performer.

While balancing his older material with newer hits, Tyler brought out special guests Doechii, Schoolboy Q, and Sexxy Red to perform their collabs together. Tyler has mastered the art of his live performance, turning his sets into an experience for everyone.

Day 2 highlights consisted of The Mainliners and Blood Orange’s sets. While many may not be familiar with The Mainliners, their performance quickly turned heads. The band’s blend of punk was one of the most energizing performances of the weekend. The guitar riffs were sharp, the bass grooves undeniable, and their stage presence was unbeatable. As fans opened the pit and jumped around, it’s clear that The Mainliners are an artist to watch in the years to come.

As the night came to an end, Blood Orange played one of the last sets of the weekend. Dev Hynes, the mastermind behind Blood Orange, has a way of blending personal reflection with larger cultural themes, and his set at Camp Flog Gnaw was no exception. As the audience was completely immersed in his performance, Blood Orange’s set felt like being home. A standout moment came when Hynes was joined on stage by Brendan Yates of Turnstile, performing their song ALIEN LOVE CALL,” together.

One of the most compelling aspects of Camp Flog Gnaw was its ability to create a sense of community. While the performances were top-notch, the environment itself was one of inclusivity and expression. From the art installations sprinkled around the festival, to the stylish attendees (with Tyler’s fashion influence in full force), it was clear that Camp Flog Gnaw is as much about creative self-expression as it is about the music. Every corner of the festival felt like a celebration of individualism and collective experience, making it a space where music lovers of all kinds could come together.

From the stunning performances by Tyler, the Creator and Blood Orange to the breakout sets by Doechii and RAYE, this year’s edition solidified the festival’s place as one of the most exciting events in the music world. Tyler’s curations and diverse range of genres made this year’s Camp Flog Gnaw a collision of artistry, culture, and community. Camp Flog Gnaw is deemed a must-attend for any lover of music and creative expression.
