Once a transfer student from Saddle Back College, coach John Elders accidentally fell into his career as a coach of a cross country and track and field. Little did the aspiring math teacher know, he would soon teach but in the art of coaching long distance running. He has shown a passion for the sport and inspires his students to be great and work together. Elders has dedicated over three decades of his life to his runners and alma mater. John Elders is the longest Division I coaches at California State University, Fullerton. He has brought monumental changes to the cross country and track and field programs. His legacy will continue.
