The girls of the hit 2000’s TV show, One Tree Hill, have started a rewatch podcast. Bethany Joy Lenz, Sophia Bush, and Hilary Burton have joined forces and committed to watching every single episode on a podcast called Drama Queens.
It’s officially described as: “Bethany Joy Lenz, Hilarie Burton, and Sophia Bush are the biggest Drama Queens, and they are here with you to dissect every episode, deliver every detail you must know, and devote themselves to you as you rewatch every single scene together.”
The first hour-long episode premiered on June 20th, and the show now holds the #1 spot on the Apple Podcast app. They have committed to watching 1 episode per week, so considering there are 187 episodes, their podcast will be around for a while.
In an interview with Ryan Seacrest, Sophia Bush said, “There is so much that we look back on and realize was groundbreaking at the time and also so much that we wish we could change.” She continued, “But you know, we were kids on our first jobs.”
The girls all say that they have not seen any of the episodes since 2003 and are excited to dive into the details.
The episode formatting has the girls watching the episode before recording and then digesting and sharing their thoughts for the podcast after. They plan to discuss the things they would change since they recall having to perform inappropriate scenes. Bethany Joy Lenz mentions, “It’s a great opportunity to be able to discuss those things and open up that dialog because there were a lot of behind-the-scenes conversations with us where there were scripts that would come down the pipeline, and we would huddle with each other like ‘I don’t wanna do this, what do we say.'”
In addition to discussing hot topics, they’ll talk about memories and any other things they feel while reliving their OTH days.
