Jeff Bridges announced he was diagnosed with lymphoma in October of 2020. The Oscar-winning actor recently got Covid-19, and today he wrote on his website that the virus made “cancer look like a piece of cake.”
Lymphoma is a blood cancer with a one-year survival rate of 92% with treatment. He stated that his “cancer is in remission” and that the “mass has shrunk down to the size of a marble.” When he was exposed to Covid back in March of this year it made his battle much more difficult.
“Covid kicked my ass pretty good, but I’m double vaccinated and feeling much better,” Bridges revealed, attributing his recovery to the vaccine.
He mentioned “moments of tremendous pain” and remembers crying out “all throughout the night” during his entanglement with the virus.
“This brush with mortality has brought me a real gift — life is brief & beautiful. Love is all around us, & available @ all times,” Bridges learned from his experience.
